The headlight lenses in my 2000 770 are just about completely clouded.  I seem to remember that there was someone on eBay who occasionally sold these, but I can't find any listed right now.  Does anyone know of a place to get these replacements at a decent price?  I am familiar with GATR in the resource guide, but I was hoping someone had an even better source.

If you can't find any local help, try HRIBAR Salvage out of Sturtevant (Milwaukee) WI.  He parts out a lot of Volvos and has an eBay site (i.e. semipartsman) too.  Talk to Tom JR.  A very fair guy.

Well Bill, I wasted my $25 on that stuff.  Might as well go and buy a bottle of good Canadian Whiskey.  I hope it works for you, but it seems most of my clouding was on the inside and right down into the lens itself.  Even when I thought (wishful thinking) that it did some good, the cloudiness would soon return.

On the road last summer some of our ministry friends got us the 465T while I was in Kansas (Garmin Territory).  I really like it much better than Co-Pilot, and have not had any problems with it.  The 465T is the only trucking program they have.  Used to be an older 7" screen, but it wasn't for trucks (tall and long rigs).

I bit the bullet and paid the $115-120 each for new ones.  I did however put the OLD cloudy ones on eBay.  I explained that they were NOT broken, but they were badly clouded and I replaced them with new clear ones.  I put them in separate listings and sold them on eBay.  Got $50.00 each for them, plus shipping.  Go figure???

I seldom drive at night and about all I use my headlights for is to signal trucks when its OK to pull back in, but it improved the looks of my truck 100%!!!! (at least to me!):-)

I just had Discount Wheel & Tire in Jacksonville, TX do my 2001 Volvo headlights.  I could have sworn that the inside of the lens was damaged and doing anything to the exterior would do nothing.  WOW!  Was I wrong.  Looks like new!  Cost was $50 total.  It took 30 minutes.  They said to keep the headlights away from water for at least 12 hours, 24 hours would be best.  Plus one year warranty!  They have never had a customer come back to complain about the lights afterward.  For the cost of new lights I could have this done every year for a lot of years.  Even if you pick up used lights, you are looking at "fogged" lenses.  It is the sunlight that gets to them.  Since they do a "water" sanding, I'm sure that the plastic will become to brittle after so many "cleanings", but for now this is great.

I had mine done at Wal-Mart for 40.00 and they look great.  Took them about 45 minutes.

I've done mine, they look way better, not new, but nice.  I used wet sand paper in increasing grades from 320-400-600-800-1000-1200-1500, then good wax with a light buffer.  I've done a few cars too, always well worth the couple hours it took.

One of the Speed Channel fix-m-up shows covered the 3m system a few weeks ago.  They even did the taillights.  Locally here the Peanut Butter Lube 'n flush is also advertising the service.
