If you currently own or are contemplating purchasing a 1998-2005 Volvo VNL then I suggest that you take a few minutes to read Volvo Drag Link Notice
The thread goes into detail about the consequences of loosing your Drag Link while trucking down the road with nothing more on your mind than seeing if you or your passengers can count the most Pinch Bugs rolling down the highway.
The NHTSA has an Open Case involving Drag Link Issues / Failures on some 1998-2005 VNL's that could cause Complete Lose of Steering.

To ERR on the Safe Side, I suggest that you have your current drag link checked out ASAP or better yet have one of the New Greaseable Drag Links installed on your truck if you don't currently have one.
