Thinking of changing to Coach-Net, from Good Sam's Roadside assistance.

Just phoned Coach-Net to see if they cover HDT if I need towing.  The girl I spoke to said, yes if it is a single axle.  But I got the feeling she was not a 100 % sure.  Any experience out there, with this.

Same thing they told me.  But then she said no and then yes so I stayed with Good Sam ERS.

Yes, they cover non-commercial singled HDT's used as an RV tow vehicle.  When I added my Volvo to my existing motorhome policy and upgraded to Platinum, I had a very specific discussion with them.  Since then, I had to use their services to get my Volvo towed/winched out of the mud and there were no questions on coverage; other than the standard limitations that apply to all their policies, like being within 100 ft. of a "maintained" road, if you're not in an RV park.  In my case, I was stuck at my own ranch; got into rain softened bog while parking the Teton just off my driveway.  I got them to confirm that a "maintained" road wasn't limited to paved roads.  So they dispatched an appropriate size tow rig from 50 miles away to my ranch, including the 1 mile of "maintained" gravel/dirt access road.  He had me back on solid ground in 10 minutes and didn't cost me a penny.  I was a happy camper.

Coach-Net Platinum will cover anything you drive.  That includes twin screw HDT's, rental trucks, cars, motor bikes and your fiver in tow.  If you are behind the wheel it is covered.  I spend a great deal of time discussing this with Coach Net reps and they all assured me we would be ok.  Even our Montana LLC is no longer a problem.  Coach Net is expanding there services beyond just the motor homes.  You will need their Platinum coverage not just the basic plan.

We signed up for 5 years and saved a bunch.  I believe they are still cheaper than Good Sam by the year and they do not sub out the coverage to be handled by a third party like GS.

I would want to hear that from CN before I sign on the dotted line.
